WHY GO? While enjoying some beers on a boat one Sunday afternoon, the makers of 1981 pondered the the question, 'why does the Cayman Islands not have its own craft brewery?' It was on that sunny  afternoon the notion of the 19-81 Brewing Co. ( 19-81 being the nautical coordinates of Cayman) came to life.

Made in collaboration with local farmers, the beers- that taste like pure-genius in a glass- are all about island living.  The Island Session- a Kolsch-style ale that's easy to drink, the popular Cayman Blonde that has a tiny hint of honey & the Tropical IPA, a fruity spin on an East Coast IPA, are all handcrafted, refreshing and meant to be sipped not slammed.

Don't just come for the beers, get a tour with master brewer inside the rustic taproom. A mid-century living room vibe and a distinct malty aroma, as well as knowledge about how the beer is made will make you want to stick around for a while.
